Kavassery Paddy Fields
The Kavassery paddy fields constitute a major rice-cultivating region in the Kavassery area of Palakkad district. Rice cultivation is the primary agricultural activity here. Farmers work collectively to manage aspects such as irrigation, cultivation, and maintenance of the fields. These paddy fields play a significant role in the rural agricultural life of Kavassery; beyond rice production, they also contribute to the region's natural beauty and biodiversity.
